I actually don't think Rory Gilmore would be much different from the rest of us readers and writers today. Here's why. Also go behind the scenes of my writing life as proof of my hypothesis.

I agree with you. But I’m a romantic, and I’d still like to see her with Jess, the only man who really saw her. After all, writing Gilmore Girls was Jess’s idea. And I can see him on Substack too.
Love this! I feel the writer's life struggles for real. Earning as a writer is a struggle bus, for sure. But my brother pointed out to me recently that there aren't a lot of people who follow their passion like I'm doing. So I guess that's something :)
totally agree with all of your assumptions. Because, in reality, there are MANY exceptionally smart people that don't have exceptional success.
Agree and the real world shows you this! And smart doesn’t hit the same way in the real world, other factors matter too.

It’s possible, especially given how AYITL played out. I can see him on Substack too! I can see it if he ended up in Stars Hollow too.
I think we need an updated revival.
