Hi Friday night readers,

First, note that this is a long post best viewed in a web browser or the Substack app!

The Gazette is a weekly recap of the best of Friday Night Readers, a virtual book club that reads and lives like the Gilmore Girls. Enjoy it with your Sunday morning coffee as Rory and Lorelai would!

šŸ‘€On My Radar: The Next Chapter at Michaels

The Next Chapter collection at Michaels just may be the cutest one I’ve seen in a long, long time, and the prices are crazy low compared to similar merch in this space— as low as $2.99 before coupons! Pictured are my faves, but there are even more options on their website. Perfect for Galentine’s/Valentine’s Day!

I recommend ordering online or checking your local store's inventory before visiting in person. My store only had the little items near the register, but my sister’s had most of them. I’ve heard the same from a few friends.

This week on Substack, the author of the new book,Ā Write For Money and Power, went live on Substack with me, and we chatted about all things behind the scenes of Friday Night Readers. I think my favorite part was explaining how I branded it.

I also shared our first Bookmarks post of the year, which was my favorite one yet. This curated collection of my favorite bookish content online and in real life is meant to help you stay informed and inspired without all the doomscrolling on social media.

I feel that I’ve found my stride by adding my takes to each link, making it even more interesting for readers, in my humble opinion.

Lastly, I released a new podcast trailer to reflect the fact that episodes will now be focused more on the books on Gilmore Girls than the episodes.

And, at the end, I released my full Unofficial Guide to the Books on Gilmore Girls— 168 printable PDF pages for paid subscribers, broken down by episode and personally verified by me, a project I’ve been working on since May 2023!

So, believe me when I say that other lists are just plain wrong, and this one’s for the people who really care about it, like me!

New paid subscribers will receive the Guide in their welcome email, and current paid subscribers can find it in the exclusive section of this post below.

āœļøNotes
