Hi Friday night readers,

Welcome to our second monthly Bookmarks post here on Substack!

Bookmarks is a digest of my favorite bookish content around the web and in real life. It’s something I work on for you every single day.

My mission is to take on the daily task of scouring the web for the best literary lifestyle content so you can both stay informed and have more time to read or relax without all the added scrolling (and, let’s be honest, doomsrolling).

Last month, I wasn’t sure how my full list of subscribers would respond to this type of post. Would you see value in me taking content curation off your shoulders? But, it went over extremely well— honestly, better than I ever expected.

I think it’s a sign of the times. We are getting to a place where we want to be informed about things we care about without being overwhelmed or in exchange for all the pitfalls of social media. This is one way to do it.

Peruse it with a jumbo cup of coffee as Lorelai and Rory would!

Top Three

All subscribers get access to my top three bookmarks!

Quiz time! How many books can you identify by their main character? I got 18/25.

The trailer for the adaptation of Maggie O’Farrell’s Hamnet gave me chills. This account of the death of Shakespeare’s son, inspiring his tragedy, Hamlet, was one of the best books I’ve read, as was Hamlet! The movie releases on Thanksgiving Day, and I hope you feel inspired to consume one or more this fall!

One creator is making a Gilmore Girls village, and she shares a PDF guide to make your own!

Last-minute bonus!: Did you catch the Gilmore Girls at the Emmy’s last night?! Their beauty blew me away! Those dresses! And THE HOUSE.

Want more? Paid subscribers get ~20 more of the most interesting content pieces I found this month about books, adaptations, Gilmore Girls, and the literary lifestyle. You’ll learn everything from how a book cover gets made to the eyeroll-inducing thing Book of the Month just did, literary adaptations to watch this fall, and a candid interview with Chad Michael Murray, a/k/a Tristin! Plus, access all other member printables, content, chats, and, oh, so much more!
